IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS FOR AUTHORS

Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts with particular regard (but not only) to the use of Sucrosomial® iron supplementation and its benefits in different conditions

Main topics related to:

• Iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia

• Iron and erythropoiesis

• Iron and anemia in cancer and hematologic diseases

• Iron and anemia in chronic kidney disease

• Iron and anemia in surgery

• Iron and anemia in bariatric surgery

• Patient blood management

• Iron deficiency and iron suplementation in pediatrics

• Iron deficiency in gynaecology and obstetrics

• Anemia of inflammation

• Iron metabolism and biology

• Iron and anemia in other general conditions

The full paper (abstract titles, authors, institutions, abstract text, figures, tables, disclosures) should fit in a A4 page (2.5cm margins), written in Word format typed using single line spacing. Font style: Times New Roman; Font size: 12.

The document should include the following items in this order:

• Abstract title in UPPERCASE (please do not use abbreviation)

• Authors name: first name and surname of all authors must appear in the abstract.

• Authors’ affiliation should be typed under the list of authors’ names. (please, refer to multiple author’s affiliations with superscript numbers placed immediately after each author’s name)

• Abstract body text

The following structure needs to be followed for the abstract text submission:

• Background

• Objectives

• Methods

• Results

Conclusions

Only one Graphic, Figure (JPEG and TIFF, only) or Table can be embedded in the text. A short caption should be added

Abstracts not in accordance with the above instructions may be returned for the necessary revisions prior to review.

Once submitted by email, a confirmation that the abstract has been correctly received and forwarded for review will be sent. Please, check spelling and grammar carefully before submitting. Direct reproduction from your electronically submitted abstract text means that any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific data will be reproduced as submitted.

Abstracts containing previously presented data are eligible for submission.

However inclusion of updated data is encouraged.

Case reports are accepted too for abstract submission.

There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit. Notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent to the presenting author by email before February 17th 2019, along with instructions for oral or poster presentation.

For any revisions or changes of the abstracts submitted an email must be sent to info@irondeficiencycourse.com indicating the abstract title submitted and 1st Author or submitter name and surname.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any revisions or changes.

Organizers could reserve the right to directly replace with “Sucrosomial® iron” trademark any mistake on reporting, referring or naming it in all the abstracts accepted.

Organizing secretariat will provide to print and display all the accepted abstracts in a dedicated poster area at the congress venue. All the abstracts will be displayed throughout the duration of the Course

Submission of the abstract constitutes the authors’ consensus to publication (e.g. congress website, programs, abstract book, other promotions, etc.)

The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.
